This week I’ve decided to get a bit more “exotic” with my culinary challenge. And also to venture onto an island I’ve never been before but would love to visit: Iceland!
Aside from it’s wild and beautiful nature, Iceland also offers an interesting variety of food specialties. Although a lot of traditional recipes are
inspired by the most available resources like fish, e.g., they also have some traditional pastries to satisfy any sweet tooth. One of them is hjonabandssaela – which I have no idea how to pronounce but apperently is a rolled oats cake with plum marmelade. I think it sounds great.
